Gain (formerly Velon) isn’t building another automation tool. They are building a different kind of future — one where AI works not as a replacement, but as an extension of human teams. AI employees that plug in, learn fast, and deliver impact without expanding headcount.
But none of that mattered until the brand could hold it. What they needed was radical clarity: a name, visual identity, messaging system, and design toolkit — all built to support a new category of work. One that promises efficiency, intelligence, and scale without losing humanity.
They came to us with a proposition. We helped them turn it into a brand.

From the start, it was clear: this wasn’t just about software. It was about redefining what it means to scale a team.
So we asked a different set of questions:
What if you could grow capacity without growing complexity?
What if performance didn’t mean more people — just smarter ones?
What if AI wasn’t a feature, but a co-worker?
The answer we arrived at became the foundation for everything:
Hire Intelligence.
A phrase with double meaning — both verb and value proposition. To “hire intelligence” is to bring in higher-order thinking, but also to onboard actual AI employees. It captured the product’s promise and positioned the company as something bigger than a tool — a new kind of team.
That line did the heavy lifting, but it also gave us room to build. We developed a full-stack brand around it — clear, confident, and coherent:
Naming — Gain is short, active, and unmistakably benefit-driven. A name that speaks to value, velocity, and growth without waste.
Brand tone & positioning — Messaging that speaks plainly and powerfully. No hype, just promise.
Messaging — We stripped out the buzzwords and led with benefits. Every line of copy became an invitation: hire intelligence, reduce ramp time, scale like never before.
Visual identity — A bold yet refined logotype, forward-tilted mark, and layered gradient system that evokes emergence, cognition, and possibility.
Design system — Structured layouts, modular blocks, human‑centred UI, clear type hierarchy, and a visual language that scales across decks, interfaces, marketing material, and more.
Avatars & personality — We transformed abstract software into something personal. Each AI employee was imagined as a teammate — complete with names, roles, icons, and styles — helping clients visualise team-scale without headcount

Logotype & Mark:
Built from pure geometry, the wordmark carries a calm momentum. The characters link effortlessly—especially the g → a transition—creating a sense of constant forward motion.



Colour & Gradient System:
The colour language draws from natural light transitions — dawns, dusks, the in-between moments. These gradients add warmth, softness, and a human pulse to an AI product built for efficiency.


Imagery & Avatars:
A mix of custom AI-employee portraits, real-people photography, and bespoke iconography. The imagery stays clean and human, while the icons are where the gradient system becomes tactile — rounded geometry, soft blur, and just enough depth to feel alive.




With the new brand identity in place, Gain transformed from a concept into a living, breathing proposition.
Their website went live, telling the story of hire intelligence with clarity and conviction. The brand language, the gradients, the motion, the icons — all working together to express a smarter, calmer future of work where AI operates seamlessly in the background.
Their pitch decks, sales materials, and investor collaterals all inherited the same visual language and coherence — helping them present as human, modern, and distinctive.
Internally, they gained a scalable design system — ready to grow from one AI‑employee to one hundred without losing consistency or integrity.
